Ingredients
-
500 g Meat, chicken, thighs
-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, chili powder
-
0.5 teaspoons Sugar, white
-
1 spoon Soy sauce, shoyu
-
1 spoon Oil, olive
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
1 pod Garlic, fresh
-
2 spoons Juice, lemon
-
4 spoon Peanut butter, smooth
-
2 pinch Salt, table
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cumin, seeds
-
1 teaspoon Spices, coriander - dried leaves
-
5 spoon Water
Steps
-
Wash the chicken and cut it into small pieces, lightly salt them, and thread them onto wooden or metal skewers.
-
Light the charcoal and place the skewers on the grill. Grill them for 15 minutes, turning them several times. If needed, grill them for a few additional minutes until the meat is fully tender and cooked.
-
While grilling, peel the onion and garlic and finely chop them. Place them in a bowl, add a pinch of chili and water. Heat a pan with a few drops of oil on the stove and add the prepared mixture. Sauté until the onion and garlic become translucent, then add sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, peanut butter, salt, cumin, and coriander. Cook for about five more minutes, stirring the sauce occasionally.
-
Serve the skewers or satay on plates, with a side of warm peanut sauce in a serving dish.
