In a small bowl, mix together orange juice, honey, olive oil, coriander, turmeric, and cumin. Stir until all ingredients are well combined. Rinse the chicken thighs under running water and thoroughly dry them with paper towels. Season them with pepper and salt.

Place the seasoned chicken pieces in a deep baking dish and pour the prepared marinade over them. Cover the dish and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Wash the oranges thoroughly under hot running water and slice them into rounds. Peel the onion and cut it into quarters. Take the baking dish out of the refrigerator and arrange the orange slices and onion quarters over the chicken. Place the dish in the preheated oven for 50 minutes.

Serve the baked chicken thighs on plates, garnished with the roasted oranges and onions. Drizzle with the sauce from the baking dish and serve with your choice of side.
