Ingredients
-
300 g Meat, chicken, breasts
-
5 pieces Leek
-
2 teaspoons Spices, chili powder
-
100 ml Soy sauce, tamari
-
50 ml Alcohol, Sake
-
50 ml Vinegar, distilled
-
2 spoons Sugar, white
Steps
-
In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sake, rice vinegar, sugar, and chili powder. Stir everything well.
-
Wash the chicken breasts thoroughly, dry them, and cut them into larger cubes. Then mix the chicken cubes well with the marinade, cover the bowl, and place it in the refrigerator for 5 hours.
-
Wash the leek, clean it well, and cut it into 2.5 cm long cylinders. After 5 hours of marinating, take the meat out of the refrigerator. Take a wooden skewer (preferably bamboo) and alternately thread the marinated pieces of meat and leek onto it. There should be 4 pieces of meat and 3 pieces of leek on each skewer. Repeat the process until you run out of ingredients.
-
Preheat the oven to 220 °C and set it to broil. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and arrange the skewers side by side on it. Cover the handles of the skewers with aluminum foil so they don’t burn. Place the tray in the preheated oven on the top rack and bake the skewers for 15 minutes. Halfway through baking, turn them over so the meat cooks evenly.
-
Take the skewers out of the oven and serve them on plates. You can offer rice as a side dish.
