Ingredients
-
2 spoons Oil, olive
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
70 g Seeds, sunflower, peeled, dried
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cumin, seeds
-
1 can Chickpea, cooked
-
1 can Lentils, cooked, can
-
pieces Parsley, fresh
-
pieces Salt, table
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
80 g Flour, Whole wheat
-
pieces Oil, plant, sunflower
Steps
-
Place the chickpeas and lentils in a colander, rinse under running water, and drain. Peel the garlic and onion, and chop them separately.
-
Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion until it becomes translucent and soft. Add the garlic, sunflower seeds, and cumin, and cook for another 30 seconds while stirring constantly, then remove the pan from the heat.
-
In a food processor or blender, add the drained chickpeas and lentils, eggs, parsley, and spices to taste. Add the cooled contents from the pan and mix everything well to form a uniform mixture. If there are still some larger pieces of chickpeas, that’s perfectly fine.
-
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix in the flour. Divide it into 8 parts, shape them into patties, and fry them on both sides in heated oil until golden brown.
-
Serve the patties with a bowl of salad and a refreshing sauce, or use them to make tasty sandwiches or burgers.
