Ingredients
-
250 g Meat, pork, ground
-
40 g Cabbage, Chinese (pak-choi), fresh
-
2 piece Onion, young
-
4 pods Garlic, fresh
-
10 g Ginger, fresh
-
2 teaspoons Soy sauce, shoyu, less salt
-
2 teaspoons Koruzni škrob
-
200 g Dough, wonton
Steps
-
Clean the Chinese cabbage and spring onion, rinse under running water, and finely chop. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Peel and finely grate the ginger. In a large bowl, mix the pork, Chinese cabbage, spring onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and starch. Let the well-mixed ingredients rest for a few minutes to settle.
-
Spread the dough circles on a clean work surface. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle, moisten the edges with water (using a brush or your fingers), fold upwards, and press firmly to form nicely shaped dumplings (little pouches). Be careful not to overfill the dumplings, as they may burst. Repeat the process until all the ingredients are used.
-
Place a quarter of the wonton dumplings in the bamboo steamer basket, which has been lined with parchment paper and punctured in a few places. Make sure the dumplings do not touch each other! Cover the basket and steam the dumplings for about 5 minutes. Then carefully transfer them from the basket and keep them warm. Repeat the process until all the dumplings are cooked.
-
Serve the cooked dumplings on plates and offer them with the sauce.
