Ingredients
-
300 g chocolate, dark
-
6 pieces Egg, fresh
-
200 g Butter, unsalted
-
200 g Powdered sugar
-
100 g Nuts, almonds
-
0.3 dl Alcohol, Brandy
-
1 spoon Butter, unsalted
-
1 spoon Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
Steps
-
Place a smaller pot with about half a liter of water on the stove. Place a bowl on top, in which you break the chocolate. Make sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water in the pot. Slowly melt the chocolate over the water bath. Once melted, remove from heat and mix well with a whisk.
-
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Crack the eggs and carefully separate the whites and yolks into two bowls. Whisk the yolks together with softened butter and sugar until frothy. Add ground almonds, cherry brandy, and melted chocolate. Mix everything well. Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks, then gradually and carefully fold them into the chocolate mixture.
-
Grease a round cake pan (26 cm in diameter) well with butter and dust with cocoa powder. Pour the prepared batter into the pan and spread it evenly. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Check if the cake is done with a toothpick.
-
Remove the baked cake from the oven and let it cool completely. Once cooled, remove the cake from the pan and cut it into desired-sized pieces. Serve on plates and enjoy.
