Ingredients
-
4 spoon Butter, unsalted
-
285 g Sugar, white
-
200 g Dressing, caramel
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
150 g Amaranth, flakes
-
250 g chocolate, dark
-
2 spoons Sweet cream
Steps
-
Grease a small deep baking dish (approximately 23 cm long) well with oil. Coarsely chop the chocolate. In a larger greased bowl, mix the rice krispies and 1/3 of the chopped chocolate.
-
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook the melted butter for about 5 minutes until it turns golden brown.
-
Add the caramels, marshmallows, and salt to the saucepan. Reduce the temperature and cook while stirring until all the ingredients melt and combine well.
-
Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the mixture into the bowl with the rice krispies and chocolate. Gently mix everything together with a greased spoon. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined. Transfer the prepared mixture to the prepared baking dish. Use greased hands or the back of a spoon to spread it evenly in the dish. Let the mixture cool completely (about 15 to 20 minutes).
-
Place the remaining chopped chocolate and cream in a heatproof bowl. Melt the chocolate over a water bath (see tips). Once the chocolate is melted, gently stir it and evenly pour it over the cooled mixture. Let the chocolate cool.
-
When the chocolate has cooled but not yet set, make cuts with a sharp knife. Let the chocolate set completely.
-
Once the chocolate has set, cut the treat into squares along the cuts, serve on a plate, and enjoy.

Advice
A water bath is used for melting and dissolving delicate foods and ingredients or for frothy mixing (especially for preparing various sauces and creams). Place a heatproof container with the ingredients on top of another container with hot water and whisk the ingredients in the upper container until they thicken and foam. The water in the lower container should not boil vigorously!
