Ingredients
-
115 g Sugar, brown
-
200 g Apricot, dry
-
115 g Margarine
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
75 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
0.5 teaspoons Baking powder
-
4 spoon Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
-
pieces Powdered sugar
Steps
-
Cut the apricots into smaller pieces. Grease the pudding mold well and sprinkle with a little muscovado sugar.
-
Pour the remaining sugar into a larger bowl, add the remaining margarine, eggs, flour, baking powder, and cocoa. Mix everything together with an electric mixer into a smooth mixture.
-
First, pour half of the prepared mixture into the mold. Place the chopped apricots in the center of the mixture and cover with the remaining mixture. Be careful to fill the mold only two-thirds full, as the mixture will rise during cooking. Cover the mold with a lid.
-
Fill a larger pot halfway with water and bring it to a boil. Carefully place the mold in the pot and cook for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, check if you need to add more water to the pot.
-
After 45 minutes, carefully remove the mold from the pot and let it cool slightly. Then open it and flip the chocolate pudding onto a serving plate. Wait for it to cool completely, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.

Advice
Instead of margarine, you can also use butter. If you dont have a pudding mold, you can pour the mixture into regular pots, covered with aluminum foil. During cooking, steam should not reach the mixture. The mixture should always be three fingers below the edge of the pot, as the pudding will rise during cooking!
