Chocolate Banana Slices
A dessert that will delight both young and old sweet tooths, its also an excellent way to use up egg whites. A fantastic hazelnut sponge cake combined with hazelnut spread, bananas, and chocolate mousse. Could there be anything better?

Ingredients
Biscuit

7 pieces Egg, egg white, fresh

150 g Sugar, white

3 spoons Flour, Wheat, bread flour

0.5 bags Baking powder

200 g Nuts, hazelnuts
Mousse

210 g chocolate, dark

10 g Gelatin powder, unsweetened

90 ml Milk, whole milk

260 ml Sweet cream

pieces Banana, fresh

pieces Chocolate spread, with hazelnuts
Steps

First, prepare the sponge cake. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Lightly grease a baking tray of approximately 27 x 36 centimeters with butter, then line it with baking paper.

Beat the egg whites while gradually adding sugar. Gently fold in the sifted flour mixed with baking powder and hazelnuts. Pour the batter into the baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Once baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.

Spread the cooled sponge cake with hazelnut spread, then arrange the banana slices cut into rings on top.

Prepare the chocolate mousse. Break or chop the chocolate into pieces and melt it over a double boiler. Whip the sweet cream. Prepare the gelatin according to the instructions on the packet.

Pour the milk into a cup and heat it until it boils. Remove the cup from the heat and dissolve the prepared gelatin in the hot milk. Stir until all the gelatin is dissolved. Pour the milk with gelatin into the melted chocolate and mix well to obtain a smooth chocolate mixture. Gently fold in the whipped cream. Pour the prepared mousse over the bananas. Let the dessert cool thoroughly before slicing.
