Ingredients
-
4 pieces Banana, fresh
-
100 g chocolate, dark
-
1 teaspoon Oil, plant, coconut
-
2 spoons Sugar, turbinado
Steps
-
Place a smaller pot on the stove and fill it with water up to 1/3. Place a heatproof bowl on top, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water in the pot. Add pieces of dark chocolate and coconut oil to the bowl, then slowly melt them over the water bath. Once the chocolate has melted, gently stir it to obtain a smooth and liquid chocolate sauce.

Peel the bananas and cut them in half. Skewer the halves onto wooden sticks. Dip the bananas into the melted chocolate and place them on a large plate lined with baking paper. Finally, sprinkle the chocolate-covered bananas with colorful sprinkles.
-
Place the plate with the bananas in the freezer for 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to fully set. Store the dessert in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Advice
Instead of coconut oil, you can use butter, oil, or margarine. The sprinkles can be replaced with coconut flour, chopped nuts, chocolate chips, etc. A water bath is used for melting and dissolving delicate foods and ingredients or for frothy mixing (especially for preparing various sauces and creams). Place a heatproof bowl with the ingredients on top of another bowl with hot water. The water in the lower bowl should not boil vigorously!
