Ingredients
Cream
-
200 g Butter, unsalted
-
100 g Powdered sugar
-
3 teaspoons Alcohol, Coffee liqueur
-
250 ml Alcohol, Beer
-
250 g Butter, unsalted
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
85 g Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
-
2 spoons Coffee, espresso
-
3 pieces Egg, fresh
-
400 g Sugar, white
-
160 ml Yogurt, plain, from whole milk
-
275 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a round cake pan (24 cm in diameter) well with butter and lightly dust with cocoa powder. In a large bowl, sift the flour and mix it with baking powder and baking soda.
-
Pour the beer into a larger cup and add the butter cut into pieces and salt. Place the cup on the stove and heat the contents slowly over moderate heat until the butter melts. Then mix in the cocoa powder and ground coffee. Remove the cup from the heat.
-
In a bowl with an electric mixer, mix the eggs, yogurt, and sugar. Reduce the speed of the mixer and slowly pour in the mixture of beer, butter, cocoa, and coffee while continuously mixing. Finally, mix in the flour in two batches.
-
Pour the prepared batter into the pan and gently shake it to evenly distribute the batter. Smooth the top of the batter with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Remove the pan with the baked cake from the oven, place it on a rack, and let the cake cool completely.
-
Finally, prepare the buttercream to spread on the cake. In a bowl with a hand mixer, cream the butter. Add the sifted powdered sugar and a teaspoon of cream liqueur and mix until the cream becomes smooth. Then add the remaining liqueur drop by drop while continuously mixing to achieve a smooth and fluffy cream.
-
Remove the cake from the pan and transfer it to a serving plate or platter. Spread the prepared cream on top. Serve the finished cake at the table and enjoy.

Advice
Butter is easiest to soften by taking it out of the refrigerator at least one hour before preparation and letting it sit at room temperature to warm up. Instead of Greek yogurt, you can use sour cream. The cream liqueur can be bought or made at home.
