Ingredients
-
200 g chocolate, dark
-
250 g Butter, unsalted
-
4 pieces Egg, fresh
-
150 g Sugar, brown
-
1 teaspoon Coffee, espresso
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
100 g Nuts, chestnut, cooked
-
200 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
2 spoons Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
0.5 teaspoons Baking powder
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Grease a square baking dish with a side of 22 cm with butter and line it with baking paper.
-
Place a saucepan with butter and chocolate on the stove. Heat the contents slowly over low heat, stirring occasionally until well combined. Once the chocolate has melted and you have a smooth chocolate mixture, remove the saucepan from the heat.
-
In a bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, coffee, and vanilla extract. Stir in the cooled melted chocolate and chestnut puree.
-
In another bowl, sift the flour, salt, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Mix the ingredients well and then fold them into the chocolate-chestnut mixture.
-
Pour the batter into the baking dish, smooth the top, and bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes. If you want the brownies to be soft and moist, bake them until the top is nicely baked but the inside is still soft and moist.
-
Let the baked brownies cool completely. Once cooled, optionally drizzle with chocolate glaze and cut into equal-sized pieces or brownies. Serve on a plate or a larger platter.
