Chocolate-Chestnut Dessert without Flour

Steps

Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Grease a small rectangular brownie pan with butter.

Place butter and break the chocolate into a bowl. Melt them over a double boiler, then let it cool slightly.

Pour milk into a cup and add chestnuts. Heat until almost boiling, then remove from heat and blend the chestnuts with an electric mixer into a smooth cream.

Separate the egg whites from the yolks and add sugar to the yolks. Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks, and mix the yolks and sugar until the mixture doubles in volume and becomes lighter.

Gently fold the melted chocolate and chestnut cream into the beaten yolks with a spatula. Finally, carefully and slowly fold in the egg whites.

Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 45 minutes. Let the dessert cool completely before cutting.

Before serving, dust the slices with powdered sugar if desired and decorate with chestnuts and chocolate shavings. You can also drizzle sweet cream on top.
