Ingredients
-
15 teaspoon Chocolate spread, with hazelnuts
-
120 g Butter, unsalted
-
120 g Sugar, brown
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, natural
-
270 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
0.5 teaspoons Baking powder
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
50 g chocolate, dark
Steps
-
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place 15 dollops or spoonfuls of Nutella on it. Place in the freezer for 30-60 minutes to allow the dollops to firm up.
-
Meanwhile, prepare the dough. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and brown sugar. Add the egg to the creamed butter, followed by the vanilla extract.
-
Mix the dry ingredients into the egg-butter mixture. Finally, fold in the chopped chocolate. The resulting dough should have a uniform consistency and structure. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and place it in the refrigerator for a while. If you're in a hurry, you can start shaping the cookies, but it will be slightly easier with chilled dough.
-
Divide the dough into 15 pieces, shape them into balls, and place them on the prepared baking tray. Flatten each ball, for example, with a glass or cup.
-
Place a frozen dollop of Nutella in the center of each flattened dough circle. Lift the edges of the dough, wrap it around the chocolate spread, and shape it into a ball. Make sure to leave a few centimeters of space between the balls, as the cookies will spread during baking.
-
Before baking the cookies, place the tray with the balls in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
-
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 13-15 minutes. Once baked, remove them from the oven and let them sit on the tray for 5 minutes to cool slightly and set, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
