Ingredients
-
200 g chocolate, dark
-
50 g Butter, unsalted
-
2 teaspoons Egg, egg yolk, powdered
-
1 bag Sugar, white
-
80 g Powdered sugar
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
200 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
0.5 bags Baking powder
-
pieces Powdered sugar
Steps
-
Break the chocolate into smaller pieces and melt it together with butter over steam. Remove the chocolate mixture from the heat and let it cool until lukewarm.
-
Prepare the egg substitute according to the instructions and mix it with vanilla and powdered sugar. Add a pinch of salt for a more intense flavor. Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture and stir. Gradually add the flour (preferably sifted) with baking powder. All ingredients should be well mixed to combine nicely. Place the mixture in the refrigerator to firm up (approximately 3β4 hours).
-
Prepare a deep plate (or bowl) and fill it with powdered sugar. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. When you take the mixture out of the refrigerator, work quickly β itβs even better to take it out gradually. Use a teaspoon to scoop a walnut-sized amount of the mixture and shape it into a ball. Roll it in the powdered sugar and place it on the baking tray β the crackles should be about 2 centimeters apart as they will expand during baking. Bake them for 10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

Advice
When the crackles are taken out of the oven, they are very soft. They will start to firm up as they cool. The chocolate crackles will also be very good if you use chocolate that contains candied orange.
