Chocolate Fudge with Cookies
Fudge is a popular American sweet made from condensed or evaporated milk and additional ingredients. The preparation is quick and very simple, as the sweet is not baked, making it suitable even for those who are not very skilled in cooking and baking. You can mix various ingredients into the base mixture; this time, we added dark chocolate and cookies, resulting in soft chocolate bites with crunchy pieces that will be a hit. Packaged in a nice container, they can become a delicious holiday gift.

Ingredients
-
340 g chocolate, dark
-
400 g Milk, powdered, whole milk
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, natural
-
pieces Breadcrumbs, dried
Steps
-
Line a small brownie pan (approximately 25 x 25 cm) with transparent food wrap, lightly greased with oil or butter.
-
Place the cookies in a zip-lock bag, seal it, and lay it on the kitchen counter. Crush the cookies into small pieces using a rolling pin.
-
Place a pot on the stove and fill it with water to about 1/3 of its height. Bring the water to a boil, then place a bowl on top of the pot. Add condensed milk (you can find a recipe for homemade condensed milk) and coarsely chopped chocolate to the bowl. Make sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water in the pot. Slowly melt the chocolate over the steam, stirring frequently until you get a smooth and quite thick chocolate mixture.
-
Remove the bowl from the heat and quickly mix in the vanilla extract and crushed cookies. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spoon or spatula to make the surface as even as possible. Cover with transparent wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the mixture to set.
-
Remove the set fudge from the pan using the wrap, then carefully peel off the wrap. Place it on a cutting board and cut into smaller pieces. Serve immediately on a plate or store in a box in the refrigerator.
