Ingredients
-
24 pieces Apricot, dry
-
90 g Unsalted almond butter
-
90 g chocolate, dark
Steps
-
Gently open the marzipan balls along their natural seam. Use your fingers to slightly widen the indentations, which we will fill with marzipan.
-
Shape the raw marzipan mixture into small balls and press them into the indentations of the opened marzipan balls. Close and press the filled marzipan balls together. Gently shape them with your fingers to make them more round.
-
Break or cut the dark chocolate into smaller pieces. Place a pot with a small amount of water on the stove. Place a metal bowl on top of the pot, making sure the bowl does not touch the water. Melt the chocolate pieces in the bowl over the water bath.
-
Dip the filled marzipan balls into the melted chocolate and place them on a plate. Store the plate with the marzipan balls in the refrigerator to allow the chocolate to set faster.
-
Once the chocolate has completely set, transfer the chocolate marzipan balls to a serving plate or platter and offer them to your guests.

Advice
When dipping the marzipan balls into melted chocolate, use toothpicks to hold them in place. Instead of dark chocolate, you can use dark chocolate coating (glaze, couverture). Chocolate marzipan balls can be stored in an airtight container in a cool place for up to 2 weeks.
