Ingredients
-
1 bag Breadcrumbs, dried
-
250 g chocolate, dark
-
70 g Peanuts, roasted without oil, unsalted
-
40 g Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Break the milk chocolate into pieces. Finely chop the roasted peanut kernels with a knife. Place a pot on the stove and fill it with any amount of water. Place a larger metal bowl on top of the pot, making sure it does not touch the water in the pot.
-
Place the broken chocolate and butter in the metal bowl and stir until the chocolate is completely melted (see tips). Prepare a small plate and sprinkle the chopped peanuts on it. Remove the pot with the bowl from the heat and dip the unsalted Mikado sticks into the melted chocolate.
-
Then roll each stick in the chopped peanuts and wait at least 10 minutes for the chocolate to slightly harden. Finally, dip the sticks once more in the melted chocolate and wait again for the chocolate to harden.
-
Serve the prepared sticks on a platter and offer them to your guests.

Advice
Instead of peanuts, you can use hazelnuts. A water bath is used for melting and dissolving delicate foods and ingredients or for frothy mixing (especially for preparing various sauces and creams). Place a heatproof bowl with the ingredients on top of another bowl with hot water and whisk the ingredients in the upper bowl until they thicken and foam. The water in the lower bowl should not boil vigorously!
