- Preparation Time: 300 minutes
- Cooking Time: 5 minutes
- Difficulty: 2
- Spiciness: 0
- Number of Servings: 10
Ingredients
-
100 ml Sweet cream
-
20 g Butter, unsalted
-
200 g chocolate, dark
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
50 g Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
Steps
-
Roughly chop the chocolate and place it in a large bowl. Pour the sweet cream into a saucepan and add butter and mint flavoring. Heat everything over medium heat. Just before the cream boils, remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the mixture over the chocolate.
-
Wait one minute without stirring, then gently mix with a whisk until you get a smooth and uniform chocolate mixture. It's important to mix the ingredients, not whip them, to avoid incorporating air into the cream. Pour the chocolate mixture into a smaller baking dish and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours until the chocolate mixture is completely cooled and set.
-
Once set, take the mixture out of the refrigerator. Use a spoon or an ice cream scoop to portion the mixture and place it on the prepared parchment paper. Sprinkle cocoa powder on a shallow plate. Roll each chocolate portion in the cocoa powder and shape it into a ball with your hands. To prevent the truffles from sticking to your hands, dust them with cocoa powder.
-
Place the shaped truffles in the refrigerator for a few minutes, then serve them on a plate and enjoy.

Advice
If you dont have mint flavoring, you can help yourself by adding a handful (or more) of mint leaves to the cream and simmering them for a few minutes to infuse the cream with mint flavor. Then remove the leaves and pour the cream over the chocolate.
