Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a rectangular deep baking pan (23 x 13 cm) with butter and line it with parchment paper. In a bowl, crumble the marzipan, add cranberries and a tablespoon of flour, and mix well. In another bowl, sift the remaining flour and baking powder. Mix the sifted ingredients thoroughly.

Cream the softened butter and sugar with an electric mixer set to the highest speed. Gradually, one by one, mix in the eggs until you get a light, pale yellow mixture. Then mix in the ground almonds, flour with baking powder, orange zest, and almond extract. Finally, fold in the cranberries and marzipan with a spatula or wooden spoon.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean.

Let the baked cake cool for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan, place it on a wire rack, and let it cool completely.

Sift powdered sugar into a bowl and mix it smoothly with lemon juice. While the cake is still warm, spread or pour the lemon glaze over it, decorate with almonds and cranberries, and let it cool completely until the glaze sets.
