Christmas Compote

Ingredients

3 pieces Apple, fresh

100 g Dried plums

3 pieces Pear, fresh

100 g Apricot, raw

5 dl Water

70 g Sugar, brown

1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground

1 stick Spices, cinnamon, ground

3 pieces Caraway, fresh

5 pieces Spices, cloves, ground

1 piece Lemon, fresh, without shell
Steps

Wash the apples, plums, pears, and apricots. Peel the apples and pears and cut them into quarters. Remove the cores and slice them into chunks. Halve the plums and apricots and remove the pits. Wash the lemon and zest it.

Pour water (5 dl) into a pot and sweeten it. Place the pot on the stove and add the fruit, lemon juice, cinnamon, star anise, and cloves to the water, then mix everything well. Cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes. Remove the compote from the heat and let it cool. Serve in bowls or glasses.
