Cinnamon Rolls with Glaze
Is there anything more delightful than the intoxicating aroma of cinnamon filling the kitchen on a Sunday morning? This can, of course, happen anytime—whether in the festive month of December or during the May holidays. Warm cinnamon rolls with a cup of milk are truly one of the best things.

Ingredients
Dough

1 kg Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

1 pinch Salt, table

60 g Sugar, white

50 g Yeast, dry

550 ml Milk, whole milk

2 piece Egg, fresh

60 g Butter, unsalted
Dressing

4 spoon Milk, whole milk

150 g Powdered sugar
Filling

120 g Butter, unsalted

30 g Spices, cinnamon, ground

160 g Sugar, brown
Steps

Crumble the yeast into a bowl and add two tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of flour.

Warm the milk to lukewarm. Pour approximately 70 milliliters into the bowl with the yeast. Mix and let the yeast rise in a warm place for about 10 minutes.

Sift the flour into a larger bowl and add salt, 60 grams of sugar, butter, and eggs. Add the risen yeast and the remaining milk, then knead into a smooth and soft dough. Let it rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Mix softened butter with cinnamon and sugar.

Divide the risen dough into two parts. Roll each part out to about 0.5 centimeters thick into a rectangle shape. Spread the rolled-out dough with the cinnamon butter, then roll it up along the longer side into a log, which you then cut into pieces.

Line a round or rectangular baking dish with parchment paper, or grease it with butter. Place the cinnamon rolls upright, one next to the other, in the dish. Let them rest for about 20 minutes before baking, then bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes.

Make a glaze from milk and powdered sugar, and drizzle it over the baked rolls. Serve the pastry while it is still warm.
