Ingredients
-
3 pieces Egg, egg white, fresh
-
80 g Sugar, white
-
2 teaspoons Honey
-
150 g Coconut, flakes
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
70 g chocolate, dark
Steps
-
Place a wider pot on the stove, add egg whites, honey, sugar, salt, coconut flour, and vanilla aroma. Cook the mixture over low heat while continuously stirring for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens nicely. Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool for about 15 minutes.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a low baking tray with parchment paper. Using clean hands, shape small mounds from the mixture, firmly pressing them together, and place them on the prepared tray. You can also shape the mounds with a spoon. Bake the macaroons in the preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes. They are done when they turn golden brown on top but are still soft to the touch. Remove the baked macaroons from the oven, transfer them to a cooling rack, and let them cool.
-
While the macaroons are cooling, melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
-
Dip the bottom of the cooled macaroons into the melted chocolate and place them on parchment paper. Decorate the tops with the remaining melted chocolate. Let the chocolate fully harden, then place the macaroons on a plate or platter and serve.
