Ingredients

275 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

225 g Sugar, white

125 ml Oil, vegetable oil, canola

2 spoons Alcohol, Rum

Dressing

150 ml Milk, whole milk

125 g Margarine

250 g Sugar, white

100 g chocolate, dark

300 g Coconut, flakes
Steps

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, oil, milk, rum, lemon zest, and egg, and mix with a mixer until smooth.

Pour the batter into a baking pan (30 x 35 cm) lined with baking paper, extending 1.5 cm up the sides. Place the pan in the oven and bake the sponge cake for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat margarine and milk. Add sugar and cocoa powder, and stir until the sugar and cocoa are completely melted.

Once the sponge cake has cooled, cut it into squares. Dip each square into the chocolate glaze for 5-7 minutes, ensuring all sides are coated. Place the squares on a rack to allow excess glaze to drip off. Finally, roll the squares in coconut flakes.
