Ingredients
Cream
-
160 ml Coffee, espresso
-
110 ml Milk, whole milk
-
70 g Sugar, white
-
3 pieces Egg, egg yolk, fresh
-
1 spoon Koruzni škrob
-
100 ml Sweet cream
Syrup
-
100 g Sugar, white
-
50 ml Coffee, espresso
-
100 ml Water
Steps
-
In a small pot, mix the coffee and milk and heat them until boiling.
-
Beat the egg yolks with sugar for 5 minutes, then add cornstarch and mix. While continuously stirring, slowly pour the hot coffee and milk mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Pour the mixture back into the pot and cook while stirring until it thickens. Pour the cream into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap touching the surface, and let it cool.
-
Whip the sweet cream until soft peaks form. Mix the cooled cream well with a mixer, then gently fold in the whipped cream with a spatula.
-
Pour the cream into desired glasses and prepare the syrup. In a small pot, boil water with sugar while gently swirling the pot. Be careful not to burn the sugar. Boil for 5-10 minutes to create a thick sugar syrup, then mix it with coffee.
-
Pour the syrup over the cream so it settles at the bottom of the glasses. Chill the dessert well before serving and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
