Ingredients
Coffee jelly
-
4 pieces Gelatin powder, unsweetened
-
50 g Sugar, white
-
500 ml Coffee, espresso
-
2 spoons Alcohol, Coffee liqueur
Mascarpone cream
-
100 g Cheese, creamy
-
100 ml Sweet cream
-
1 teaspoon Powdered sugar
-
pieces Breadcrumbs, dried
Steps
-
Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water and let them sit for 5 minutes to soften.
-
Pour five tablespoons of water into a small pot. Add sugar and place the pot on the stove. Stir continuously while heating until all the sugar dissolves. Once a clear sugar syrup forms, remove the pot from the heat and add the coffee and coffee liqueur. Mix well.
-
Squeeze the softened gelatin sheets and mix them into the hot liquid. Prepare four glass cups (or small glasses) and fill them 3/4 full with the prepared coffee mixture. Refrigerate the cups for 3 to 4 hours to allow the coffee jelly to cool and set.
-
Just before serving the dessert, in a bowl, whip the mascarpone, sugar, and sweet cream. Whip until soft peaks form on the surface.
-
Take the cups with the coffee jelly out of the refrigerator. Spoon the mascarpone cream onto the jelly, and crumble cookies on top of the cream (you can also finely grate them). Serve the prepared dessert.

Advice
Decorate the dessert with finely grated dark chocolate if desired. The cookies used for decorating the dessert can be very aromatic, such as speculaas cookies, cinnamon cookies, or amaretti. The coffee liqueur can be purchased or made at home.
