Steps

Place a pot with a liter of salted water on the stove and wait for the water to boil. Taste the sauerkraut, and if it seems too sour or salty, rinse it under running water. Drain the rinsed sauerkraut well.

Add the sauerkraut to the boiling water. Add a few juniper berries, one or two cloves, and cook over moderate heat for 30 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

Advice
