Ingredients
-
350 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
250 g Butter, unsalted
-
300 g Sugar, white
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
160 g chocolate, dark
Steps
-
Sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda into a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and mix the ingredients well in the bowl.
-
In another bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the chopped butter and sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until the ingredients are well combined.
-
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture while mixing. Mix until you get a uniform dough. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a low baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the chilled dough into 20 pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure there is enough space between the balls, as the cookies will spread while baking. Press a few candies into each ball, slightly flattening them.
-
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
-
Transfer the baked cookies from the baking sheet to a wire rack and let them cool completely. Serve the cooled cookies on a large plate or platter.

Advice
Instead of vanilla extract, you can use vanilla sugar. Take the butter out of the refrigerator at least one hour before preparing the cookies, cut it into pieces, and let it sit at room temperature to soften.
