Ingredients
Dough
-
300 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 bag Baking powder
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
140 g Cheese, cottage cheese
-
4 spoon Milk, whole milk
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
4 spoon Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
10 slice Ham, pressed
-
10 slice Cheese, edamame
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
1 spoon Sesame seeds, dried
Steps
-
Mix the flour with baking powder and sift into a bowl. Add salt, oil, milk, cottage cheese, and egg. Using the dough hooks of a hand mixer set to the highest speed, mix the ingredients for about 1 minute until a smooth dough forms (do not overmix, as the dough can become sticky).
-
Transfer the dough to a floured work surface, where you roll it out thinly and cut it into 10 squares, approximately 12 x 12 cm in size. Cut the squares diagonally to form triangles.
-
Cut the ham and cheese slices to match the size of the triangles. Place one slice of ham and cheese on each piece of dough. Roll the triangles to form the rolls.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a low baking tray with parchment paper. Arrange the rolls on the tray, ensuring there is some space between them as they will expand during baking. In a small bowl, whisk the egg with a fork and brush it over the rolls. Sprinkle them with sesame seeds and bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
-
The rolls are done when they turn golden brown. Allow the baked rolls to cool slightly, then serve them on a platter.
