500 ml Sweet cream

100 ml Sweet cream

4 pods Garlic, fresh

6 twig Thyme, fresh

1 kg Potatoes, white

20 g Butter, unsalted

50 g Cheese, Parmesan, grated

Pour both creams into a large pot. Peel the garlic and slice it, then add it to the pot along with the thyme sprigs. Stir the contents and slowly bring to a boil over medium heat.

Peel the potatoes, wash them, and slice them as thinly as possible using a knife or a vegetable slicer.

Once the cream comes to a boil, add the sliced potatoes to the pot. Gently stir, season with salt and ground pepper, and cook until the amount of cream is reduced by half.

Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Transfer the potatoes and cream into a greased baking dish. Spread the mixture evenly across the surface and gently press it down with a spatula to remove any excess air between the potato layers.
