Ingredients
-
500 g Corn, yellow, fresh
-
0.5 piece Onion, raw
-
1.5 spoons Butter, unsalted
-
1 teaspoon Sugar, white
-
1 pinch Spices, nutmeg, ground
-
60 ml Sweet cream
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
1 pinch Spices, pepper, black
Steps
-
Peel the onion, wash it, and finely chop it. Rinse the corn cobs under running water and remove any possible silk. Place the corn cob with the tip facing down and use a large knife to start cutting at the base of the corn. Then slowly cut the corn kernels off the cob. Repeat this until all the corn cobs are stripped. Finally, you can use a spoon to remove any remaining kernels.
-
Place a large pan on the stove and melt a tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the onion to the heated butter and sauté it for 3 minutes until it softens slightly. Then add the corn kernels and the remaining butter. Pour in 160 ml of water and mix everything together. Cover the pan and cook for 15 minutes.
-
Uncover the pan and add nutmeg, sugar, and cream. Stir and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Finally, add salt and pepper to taste, stir, and serve.
