Creamy Oatmeal with Chocolate and Nuts

1 l Milk, whole milk

Rinse the oatmeal, place it in a sieve, wash it thoroughly under hot water, and drain.

In a pot, bring the milk (water, plant-based drink, a combination of milk and water, etc.) to a boil, lightly salt it. Add the drained oatmeal to the boiling milk. Once the oatmeal comes to a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until it softens. Stir it occasionally during cooking and season with ground cinnamon if desired. If needed, add a bit more milk.

While the oatmeal is cooking, roughly chop the chocolate and hazelnuts.

Serve the cooked oatmeal in deep bowls or cups. Add the chopped chocolate, hazelnuts, and almond flakes. If desired, add a bit of maple syrup or honey. Serve the dish while it is still warm.
