Creamy Pea Soup with Bacon
An excellent soup that suits all seasons. Out of season, you can use frozen peas, but during the season, its better to choose fresh ones.

Ingredients

1 spoon Oil, olive

1 piece Onion, raw

125 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon

2 pod Garlic, fresh

2 piece Potatoes, white

600 ml Soup base, chicken, cube

500 g Beans, fresh

300 ml Milk, whole milk

0.25 teaspoons Salt, table

2 pinch Spices, pepper, white

80 g Ham, pressed, non-fat
Steps

Peel and finely chop the garlic and onion. Cut the bacon into small pieces. Peel, clean, and wash the potatoes. Cut them into smaller pieces.

Heat oil in a large pot. Add the onion and bacon, and sauté while stirring until the onion softens and the bacon becomes crispy. Then add the garlic and sauté just until the garlic becomes fragrant.

Add the potatoes to the pot and pour in the broth. Wait for the liquid to boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the potatoes soften (about 10 minutes).

Add the frozen peas to the pot and pour in the milk. Cook until the peas soften, then remove the pot from the heat.

Blend the soup with an immersion blender until smooth. Season with pepper and salt to taste.

Serve the prepared soup in bowls or plates, garnish with ham pieces, and serve with slices of bread.
