340 g Rice, white, long grain

Steps

Soak the rice in cold water for 15 minutes, then drain it. Place a pot with 1.5 liters of water on the stove. Peel, wash, and chop the onion. Wash the bell pepper, clean it, and cut it into pieces. Add the onion, bell pepper, salt, parsley, and thyme to the water. Stir in the rice and cook over moderate heat for 20 minutes.

Thoroughly drain the rice along with the vegetables. Heat oil in a large pan, then sauté the rice with the vegetables for 5 minutes while stirring, to dry it out. Serve the prepared rice as a side dish with your chosen meal.
