Ingredients
-
550 g Meat, chicken, breasts
-
2 piece Egg, egg white, fresh
-
50 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
50 g Peanuts, roasted in oil, unsalted
-
25 g Sesame seeds, dried
-
1 teaspoon Spices, paprika
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Rinse the chicken breasts under running water and dry them thoroughly with paper towels. Cut them into approximately 2.5 cm wide strips, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
-
Prepare two bowls. In one, mix breadcrumbs, ground peanuts, sesame seeds, salt, smoked paprika, and freshly ground pepper. In the other bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy.
-
Place a pan on the stove and heat the oil well (see additional tips). Dip the chicken pieces first into the beaten egg whites, then coat them in the breadcrumb and sesame mixture. Fry the pieces in the hot oil. Turn them during frying so they brown evenly on both sides. Remove the fried pieces with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels. Repeat the process until all the chicken pieces are fried.
-
Serve the chicken bites on a large plate or platter with various dips and lemon slices.

Advice
Fry in a large amount of fat. The food should float in it. For frying, use fats that do not contain water, such as coconut oil or good quality oil. The frying fat is hot enough when small bubbles form around a wooden spoon handle. If you don’t have smoked paprika, you can use regular paprika, and optionally add a bit of ground chili. The bites can also be prepared in the oven. Arrange them on baking paper or a rack, lightly brush with oil (or place small pieces of butter on top), and bake at 200°C for 15 to 20 minutes.
