Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. In a bowl, mix the flour and brown sugar. Add the cubed butter to the mixture and use your fingertips to rub it into the dry ingredients until it resembles crumbs. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish (33 x 23 cm) and press it firmly onto the bottom with your hands. Place the dish in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until the biscuit base turns golden brown. Remove the dish from the oven and let the base cool slightly.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the egg, brown sugar, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Stir in the coconut and chopped nuts. Spread the prepared mixture evenly over the biscuit base. Return the dish to the preheated oven for another 12 to 15 minutes.

Remove the dish from the oven and let the baked goods cool slightly. Once cooled, cut into equal-sized squares, serve on a plate, and enjoy.
