Ingredients

500 ml Soup base, chicken, cube

500 ml Water

160 g Koruzni zdrob

0.75 teaspoons Salt, table

30 g Cheese, Parmesan, grated

1 spoon Thyme, fresh
Steps

Place a pot of water and broth on the stove. Wait for the liquid to boil. Slowly and gradually stir in the cornmeal. While continuously stirring, cook the polenta over moderate heat for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then mix in salt, thyme, and Parmesan. Remove the pot from the heat and stir the polenta well.

Line a deep baking dish (20 x 20 cm) with parchment paper. Transfer the cooked polenta into the dish and spread it evenly. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about one hour to allow the polenta to set.

Once set and cooled, remove the polenta from the dish and place it on a cutting board. Cut it into long, narrow sticks.

Heat oil in a large pan and fry the polenta sticks until golden brown on all sides. Fry the sticks for about 5 minutes, turning them during cooking.
