Steps

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Wash the apples, peel them, and cut them into quarters. Remove the stems and cores, then slice the quarters into thinner pieces. Place the apple slices in a bowl and drizzle them with lemon juice and vanilla extract. Gently mix the ingredients.

Grease a small deep baking dish (22 x 30 cm) well with butter. Transfer the apple slices to the baking dish and spread them evenly across the bottom. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and oatmeal. Add small pieces of butter and mix everything well. Spread this mixture over the apples.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake until the top is crispy and the apples are tender (approximately 45 minutes).

Remove the prepared dessert from the oven and serve it warm on plates. Offer it with a scoop of homemade ice cream.
