Čupavci
Čupavci are a traditional Bosnian pastry, often served with Turkish coffee. They consist of sponge cake cubes coated in chocolate and sprinkled with coconut flakes.

Ingredients

6 pieces Egg, fresh

200 g Sugar, white

250 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour

0.5 bags Baking powder

1 dl Milk, whole milk

1 dl Oil, plant, sunflower

200 g Butter, unsalted

100 g Coconut, flakes
chocolate sauce

200 g chocolate, dark

1 dl Milk, whole milk

100 g Sugar, white

2 spoons Alcohol, Rum
Steps

Preheat the oven to 170 °C. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them with a hand whisk or electric mixer. Gradually add sugar while mixing. Mix the flour with baking powder and add it spoon by spoon to the egg mixture while mixing. Pour in the milk and oil while mixing. Mix everything until you get a smooth and runny batter.

Grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper and pour in the batter. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Once the sponge cake is baked, let it cool in the pan. Once cooled, cut it into cubes.

Grate the chocolate. Melt the butter in a small pot, add milk, sugar, chocolate, and rum. Heat and stir until the chocolate melts and a chocolate cream forms. Pour the coconut flakes into a deep plate. Dip each sponge cake cube into the chocolate cream on all sides, then roll it in the coconut flakes.

Serve the prepared dessert on a plate and enjoy.
