Delicious Apple Pie with Raisins

Steps

First, prepare the dough. Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and powdered sugar into a bowl. Mix the ingredients well. Using your fingertips, work the cubed butter into the dry mixture. Lift the mixture as you work it to make it airy and crumbly. Add the egg yolks and sour cream and quickly knead the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Wash the apples, peel them, and cut them into quarters, removing the cores. Slice or grate them thinly and drizzle with lemon juice to prevent browning.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a smaller rectangular baking dish (approximately 30 x 40 cm) with baking paper (you can also grease it with butter and dust it with flour). Take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide it into two parts. Take one piece of dough and roll it out on a floured surface to the size of the baking dish. Carefully place the dough into the dish and shape it to cover the bottom completely. Layer it with the apple slices, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and raisins.

Take the second piece of dough, roll it out to the size of the baking dish, and use it to completely cover the apple filling. Place the dish in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.

The apple pie is most delicious when it is still slightly warm. Before serving, sprinkle it with powdered sugar and cut it into pieces.
