Steps
-
First, prepare the marinara sauce. Peel three cloves of garlic and finely chop them. Pour olive oil into a larger pot and quickly sauté the garlic. Once fragrant, add the peeled tomatoes and crush them with a cooking spoon or potato masher. Season with salt to taste and cook for 15 minutes. Stir the sauce occasionally.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, half of the grated Parmesan, cream, and egg. Finely chop the onion and garlic, and add them to the mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix the ingredients well or knead them with clean hands. Shape the mixture into meatballs, slightly larger than a walnut, and place them in a smaller baking dish, approximately 30 x 20 cm in size.
-
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove it and pour the sauce over the meatballs. Sprinkle grated mozzarella and the remaining Parmesan on top. Reduce the temperature to 175 degrees Celsius and bake for another 30 minutes. Once ready, optionally garnish with chopped parsley.
