- Cooking Time: 20 minutes
- Difficulty: 3
- Spiciness: 0
- Number of Servings: 16
Ingredients
-
500 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
8 g Butter, unsalted
-
90 g Sugar, white
-
8 g Yeast, dry
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
90 ml Milk, whole milk
-
90 ml Water
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
pieces Marmalade, orange
-
125 g Powdered sugar
-
2 spoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
Steps
-
Sift the flour into a large bowl. Add the butter and rub it in with your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Mix in the sugar and yeast. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the eggs, milk, and water. Knead into a smooth dough.
-
Sprinkle the kneaded dough with flour and cover with a cloth or foil. Let it rise in a warm place for about 30 to 40 minutes. When cracks appear on the surface and the dough is very puffy, it has risen enough.
-
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured board and punch it down with your fists. Knead it for another 2 to 3 minutes until smooth.
-
Divide the dough into about 16 pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and flatten it slightly. Fill the donuts with Naturetina apricot jam and place them in a warm spot to rise further.
-
Heat the oil in a fryer to about 160 degrees Celsius. Fry the donuts for about 5 minutes until they have a golden crust. Drain the fried donuts on paper towels. Sprinkle them with a mixture of sugar (and cinnamon). Enjoy!
