- Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
-
7 pieces Egg, fresh
-
pieces Bread, wheat
-
1.5 dl Milk, whole milk
-
250 g Broccoli, fresh
-
200 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon
-
pieces Salt, table
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Gently place three eggs into a pot and cover them with cold water. Place on the stove and once the water boils, cook the eggs for an additional 10 minutes. Drain the boiled eggs and let them cool.
-
Cut the bread into pieces and place them in a bowl, then pour milk over them. Let it sit so the bread absorbs the liquid and softens.
-
Clean the broccoli and separate it into florets, then cook them in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Drain the broccoli and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Dry the blanched florets.
-
Cut the smoked meat into pieces. Add four egg yolks to the soaked bread and mix well to form a uniform mixture. Stir in the meat pieces and broccoli florets. Season with pepper and salt to taste. Beat four egg whites into stiff peaks and gently fold them into the bread mixture in two or three batches.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a round baking pan with a hole in the center (18 cm in diameter) and coat it with breadcrumbs. Peel the boiled eggs and cut them in half.
-
Place about half of the bread mixture into the prepared pan and arrange the boiled egg halves on top. Cover the eggs with the remaining bread mixture. Bake the bread wreath in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, then let it sit in the turned-off oven for an additional 10 minutes.
-
Carefully invert the baked wreath onto a serving plate. Serve the dish while it is still warm.
