Steps

Carefully place the eggs in a pot with a spoon and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for exactly 5 minutes, then drain the eggs and cool them in cold water.

Clean and wash the vegetables and apple (peel the apple if desired). Peel the cooled eggs and coarsely grate them into a bowl. Add the finely grated vegetables and mix in the horseradish, mayonnaise, sour cream, and lemon juice. Season the spread with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
