Elvis Cake
A cake that was adored by Elvis Presley. Originally called "pound cake" because the original recipe required equal amounts of flour, sugar, butter, and eggs (1 pound or 0.45 kg). Today, the ratios have slightly changed, and some new ingredients have been added. Give it a try, you wont regret it!

227 g Butter, unsalted

252 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

45 g Koruzni škrob

250 ml Sweet cream
Steps

Set the oven rack to the middle position. Grease a larger bundt or cake pan (approximately 25 cm in diameter) with butter and lightly dust with flour. In a bowl, sift together the flour, starch, and salt.

Cut the softened butter into smaller pieces and place them in a larger bowl. Add the sugar and mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 8 minutes. Gradually (one by one) add the eggs (mixing each in for about half a minute). Then mix in the vanilla extract.

Add half of the flour, starch, and salt mixture and mix briefly on low speed. Add the cream and slowly mix it into the batter. Then mix in the remaining half of the flour, starch, and salt mixture. Finally, mix all the ingredients on medium speed for about 5 minutes.

Pour the prepared batter into the prepared pan, tapping it well to ensure the batter is evenly distributed. Place the pan in the cold oven and set the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Bake for 60 to 75 minutes. The cake is done when the surface turns golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.

Remove the baked cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 30 minutes. Then carefully remove it from the pan, place it on a plate, slice it into desired thickness, and serve.
