The dessert is originally called "Eton Mess". It is a very simple yet extremely popular English dessert that got its name from the medieval town of Eton, home to the famous college.

Ingredients

400 g Strawberries

100 g Powdered sugar

2 spoons Juice, lemon

400 ml Sweet cream

4 pieces Egg, egg white, powdered

Clean the strawberries (rinse quickly under running water if needed) and cut them into smaller pieces, then place them in a bowl. Sprinkle with 50g of powdered sugar, drizzle with lemon juice, and mix well. Let it sit for 20 minutes.

Pour the sweet cream into a bowl. Add the remaining powdered sugar (50g) and lightly whip it with an electric mixer or a hand whisk. Crumble the meringue pieces into smaller chunks by hand. Save a few larger pieces, and gently and slowly fold the rest into the whipped cream.

Prepare the glasses in which you will serve the dessert. Layer the whipped cream and strawberries in the glasses. The top layer should be strawberries, sprinkled with the reserved meringue pieces. Serve the prepared dessert immediately.

Advice
You can substitute some of the strawberries with raspberries if desired. The strawberries can also be drizzled with a bit of maraschino or strawberry liqueur. Garnish the prepared dessert with mint leaves or roughly chopped pistachios. Meringue pieces can be bought or made at home.
