Ingredients
-
300 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
1 bag Yeast, dry
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Sugar, white
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
pieces Water
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
pieces Frankfurter
-
pieces Spices, pepper, black
Premaz
-
1 piece Egg, egg yolk, fresh
-
pieces Milk, whole milk
Steps
-
In a bowl, add all the ingredients for the fermented dough: flour, yeast, lukewarm water, beaten egg, sugar, oil, and salt. Knead into a soft and elastic dough, then let it rest in a warm place until its volume doubles.
-
Divide the risen dough into 50-gram pieces and shape them into balls. Roll them out on a floured surface, then place half of a small sausage in the center.
-
Wrap the dough around the sausage and press the seams together firmly to form a ball shape. From the excess dough, make smaller balls, about the size of a hazelnut, and attach them to the larger balls using water. These will be the piglets' snouts, so poke two toothpicks into them. Also, make ears and tails from the dough. Use cloves or peppercorns for the eyes.
-
Brush the shaped piglets with egg yolk mixed with a little milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes.
