Ingredients
-
200 ml Sweet cream
-
1 teaspoon Sugar, white
-
2.5 spoons Butter, unsalted
-
4 pieces Banana, fresh
-
4 spoon Sugar, brown
-
4 teaspoon Juice, orange
-
2 pinch Spices, nutmeg, ground
-
4 spoon Alcohol, Rum
Steps
-
Whip the sweet cream with a spoonful of white sugar until it becomes firm. Store it in the refrigerator until use. Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.
-
Place a large pan with butter on the stove and wait for the butter to melt. When the butter starts to foam, place the bananas in the pan and sauté them for a few minutes on both sides. Use a spatula to help flip them and be careful not to break the bananas.
-
Sprinkle the bananas with sugar, pour in the orange juice, and season with nutmeg. Gently stir and cook for a few more minutes until the juice thickens.
-
Remove the pan from the heat and pour in the rum. Then return the pan to the stove and wait for the rum to heat up. Ignite the rum with a match or lighter. Let the flame burn for a short time, then remove the pan from the heat and cover it with a lid to extinguish the flame.
-
Arrange the flaming bananas on plates, add the whipped sweet cream, and pour the sauce from the pan over the top. Serve immediately.
