Ingredients
-
1 spoon Butter, unsalted
-
1 spoon Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
-
170 g chocolate, dark
-
140 g Butter, unsalted
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
1.5 teaspoons Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
4 pieces Egg, fresh
-
120 g Powdered sugar
-
50 g Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Grease a cake pan (22 cm in diameter) well with butter and dust it with cocoa powder.
-
Place a small pot with about half a liter of water on the stove. Place a heatproof bowl on top, in which you break the chocolate. Make sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water in the pot. Add a pinch of salt and the butter, cut into pieces, to the bowl with the chocolate. Slowly melt the chocolate and butter over the water bath. Once the chocolate has melted, remove the bowl from the heat, add the vanilla extract, and gently whisk to create a smooth chocolate mixture.
-
In another bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Mix the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Finally, fold in the sifted cocoa powder.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Let the baked cake cool.
-
Remove the cooled cake from the pan and cut it into pieces of your desired size. Serve on plates with whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream, and fresh fruit.
