Ingredients
-
10 pieces Strawberries
-
2 teaspoons Sugar, white
-
2 spoons Juice, lemon
-
4 slice Bread, wheat
-
2 spoons Chocolate spread, with hazelnuts
-
3 spoons Butter, unsalted
-
180 ml Milk, whole milk
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
0.5 teaspoons Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
1 pinch Salt, table
Steps
-
Quickly rinse the strawberries under running water and clean them. Slice them thinly and place them in a small bowl. Add sugar and lemon juice, then gently mix everything together with a spoon. Set the strawberries aside until ready to use.
-
In a small cup, slowly melt the butter over low heat. Once the butter is melted, remove the cup from the heat. Spread Nutella on two slices of bread. Cover the Nutella-spread slices with the remaining slices. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk using a hand whisk. Add two tablespoons of melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Mix everything well again.
-
Place a larger frying pan on the stove. Dip the prepared sandwiches on both sides into the mixture of milk, eggs, and spices. Add a tablespoon of melted butter to the heated pan and spread it around. Place the sandwiches on the heated pan. When the bottom side turns golden brown (after about 2 minutes), carefully flip them with a spatula and cook the other side. Add more butter to the pan if needed.
-
Serve the toasted sandwiches on a plate and top with the prepared strawberries. Serve the dish immediately.
